With their entry we can see more international brands coming into the Malaysian market. Hence consumers today have more choice between local and the international brands. As a consequence they become more discerning and demanding due to rising expectations.

Increasing affluence will also bring about changes in taste and changes in our life-style. All these will have an impact on the brand we choose.

To meet the expectations of the markets they have incorporated product packaging and label design as 2 important components in their brand building exercise.

Our Office
With a good grasp of the brand building process and insight into the packaging trend Mr. Shawn Ng Chi Shian has decided to grab this opportunity to start a business to tap into the niche market of customized packaging and label design. Hence in Sep 2000 he founded Brandcare.

  • Since her inception in 2000, the company has grown from strength to strength. Within a year, we have grown from only designing 2 brands to 50 brands. Up to date, our company has achieved more than 350 brands including local, regional & international brands. Brandcare is now the most recognized and reputable design agency in Malaysia and the region. Our company is behind a wide spectrum of brands on display in the retail outlets, supermarkets and hypermarkets across the region including Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

    The Founder - Shawn Ng

    Mr. Shawn Ng graduated with a Diploma in Graphic Design from Saito Academy in 1989. After his graduation he applied for the post of Junior Artist in Ogilvy and Mather International Advertising Agency. He was interviewed personally by the Creative Director of Ogilvy and Mather International Advertising Agency and finally selected after meeting the stringent criteria of the company.

    His diligence, creativity and ability were proven as he climbed up the corporate ladder from a Junior Artist to the post of Senior Art Director of Ogilvy and Mather International Advertising Agency in a period of 7 years.

    Because of his proven track records he was invited to join Denney & Denney, a design hot shop to be her Creative Head in 1997.

    In September 2000, with his vast reservoir of experience and entrepreneurial spirit he decided to strike out of his own. Brandcare was created and incorporated in Sep 2000.

    Under his able guidance the company has grown from strength to strength. His clients include local and multinationals like Cadbury, Campbell, Carlsberg, F& N Dairies, Guinness, Heinz, Lam Soon, Nestle, Quaker, etc

    He has been awarded “Excellent Leadership” during the 5th Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Excellence Award 2006. Brandcare has also been awarded “Business SuperBrand” and “Rising Star” award in year 2007.
    Under his leadership and guidance, the company has achieved its 1st decade vision of 1000 brands by 2010. Now, he is driving the company to embark on its 2nd decade vision which is called Globalisation. Mr. Shawn Ng constantly strives for improvement in his company in order to reach the customer's full satisfaction, and ensures that BrandCare stays true to its core values: delivering good quality work and satisfying its customers.
    The most recent award, the ISAQ 2013 award at Geneva, helped put BrandCare on the global scale, and has proven true that Mr Shawn's principles and values are vital to BrandCare's further success, that quality matters.
    BrandCare will be looking to achieve more awards in the near future and reach its ultimate goal for this 2nd decade: Globalisation.
