Career Workshop a hit with Samaritan Children

1 June 2012 – As a strong believer in giving back to society and the community, BrandCare is always looking for new and
innovative ways to help the less fortunate. When thinking about charity, most companies do their part by providing monetary (cash) support, or through organizing fun filled events. However, BrandCare decided on a different route this time, and instead held a career workshop session for the children of Good Samaritan Home.

This special workshop was the brainchild of the BrandCare team, and its goal was to help these less fortunate children with their future. “Helping these children realize their interests at a young age will help plant the seeds for them to grow and progress in the future. By showing them how fun and exciting being creative can be, they will hopefully realize their passion, and work towards being a productive member of society” said BrandCare founder Shawn Ng.

Over 20 children aged 8 to 16 years old visited the BrandCare headquarters where they were treated to a day of discovery. Drawing exercises, demonstrations by the creative team, and even a small talk to motivate the children were all part of the fun-filled day.

In the end, the objective of the workshop was achieved, and everyone went home with smiles on their faces (both children and BrandCare staff alike). The workshop was so successful that founder Shawn Ng even identified a few “potentials”, and is now planning to put together a scholarship fund to help these underprivileged children further their studies.

31 July 2012 – Brandcare was featured on the pages of local newspaper The Star. In the full page article about the packaging design industry in Malaysia, BrandCare was featured as the industry leader when it came to innovation and creative ideas.

The article gave an overview of the current health of the industry, and highlighted key points such as healthcare companies spending more on packaging design, and how important packaging design was to the success of a brand.

Overall, the packaging design industry has grown leaps and bounds over the past years, with more and more FMCGs realizing the need for attractive and innovative packaging design. And BrandCare is committed to retaining its status as the industry leader by continuing to improve and leapfrog into the future.

Feature Interview in Package & Design Magazine (China)

In recognition of BrandCare’s international success, the company was featured on the cover of Package & Design Magazine. Sold across the world in markets such as Europe, Asia and even America, the magazine showcases packaging design and insights from the leading agencies across the globe, and for its latest issue, chose BrandCare to be its feature agency.

The magazine, printed in both Mandarin & English is well established in the packaging design industry, and has become the benchmark for information on the latest trends from around the world. The feature article showcased BrandCare’s latest design work, and partnership with the FMCG industry right here in Malaysia. Packaging design for goods such as food, laundry detergent, soap, toothpaste, and even paint were displayed in the pages of the magazine, and was truly an honour for the BrandCare team.

BrandCare & Unilever Vietnam Conducted a Beauty Workshop

BrandCare has been recently honored with an exclusive invitation to Unilever’s Beauty Workshop, hosted at its headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

As one of the leading regional providers of personal care and beauty products, Unilever’s marketing and trade marketing teams (60pax0 engage foreign external packaging industry experts to explore ideas on festive and promotional packaging catering to Vietnam’s wealth of annual celebrations.

BrandCare shared insights on packaging design strategies, marketing communication and direction; in hopes that Unilever will benefit greatly in terms of inspirations and quality improvements to their current designs.

BrandCare’s visit to Unilever in Vietnam marks the latest effort in the Group’s mission to improve the standard of quality packaging design in South East Asia. BrandCare has been a firm supporter of quality packaging design and has been actively sharing packaging design knowledge and expertise with their clients in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.

Exchanging Packaging Insights with China Designers

March 11th 2011 marked the visit of a group of 30 packaging designers from leading, reputable design firms in major cities throughout China. BrandCare was proud and honoured to play host to these key creative individuals, each of whom were instrumental in the creation of great works within their region.

This trip was organised by “Package & Design”, an established publication house in China. Package & Design not only covers breaking news on international packaging design works, but also organises annual business and knowledge exchange trips. These trips allow Chinese designers to expand their knowledge and gain insight from international brand packaging pioneers, leaders and key players.

The Chinese designers’ visit to BrandCare in Malaysia allowed them to learn how branding and brand value is created through packaging design – all through BrandCare’s powerful, tried-and-tested work and packaging design philosophy.

This event is, without a doubt, a major development for brand packaging knowledge base throughout the region.

With this visit, BrandCare has officially joined the ranks of Future Brand (US), Su Yeang (Singapore), Design Bridge (UK) and many other prestigious brand packaging agencies as a major world destination on the roadmap to brand success.
